The Night Circus - A Light Bite Review

Emmersed in a world of which there is a travelling circus, no one knows of where it will go but one night you see it in your city boasting with a countdown to midnight.

A once in a lifetime opportunity that may never come again.

You wait with angst for the gates to open.

The Night Circus has got to be one of the best books that I read in the year of 2025! I had never been a fan of books that were written in 3rd person, as I would always find that I couldn't experience the same emotions or understand the landscaping that was being spelt out for me. BUT this book took that all away from me!

From the detailed premise of a story that had never been told before, the mystery of magic, the thought and attention to detail was phenomenal. If I were to write like that, I would never stop.

The book follows 2 main characters, Celia and Marco as they battle it out to win a competition. You end up rooting for one rather than the other, but the focus does not only lie with them, you are then taken out of the story to other journeys and stories which seem like fleeting moments, but pay attention for the thing you thought meant nothing, will creep up on you again and make everything click into place.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, I went in with little to no expectations and was blown away. I couldn't finish it quick enough! 10/10
